Tony Tetuila Reveals Betrayal By Former Bandmates

Veteran singer and former member of the famous Nigerian music group The Remedies, Tony Tetuila, has recently opened up about feeling betrayed by his former bandmates, Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Remedy. Tetuila disclosed that despite his mother initially sponsoring the group, Eedris and Eddy conspired to force him out of the band.

In a podcast interview, Eedris Abdulkareem claimed that The Remedies fell apart due to Eddy’s alleged greed, pushing for different revenue sharing terms that led to a rift within the group. After Eedris spoke with Tetuila about pursuing a solo career, Tetuila was left feeling “heartbroken and shattered” by the betrayal.

Tetuila shared that it was artists like Daddy Showkey and Blackface who supported and motivated him during this difficult period, encouraging him to start his solo career.

Tetuila revealed that Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Remedy orchestrated his exit from The Remedies, despite his crucial role in the group’s early funding. He emphasized the significant influence Daddy Showkey and Blackface had on his decision to pursue a successful solo music career. Tetuila expressed disappointment in Eedris’ recent claims about making sacrifices for the Nigerian music industry, pointing out their past differences.
