Paramount Pictures has dropped the curtain on “Transformers One,” an animated prequel film delving into the genesis of beloved Autobot leader Optimus Prime and formidable Decepticon antagonist Megatron. Voiced by Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry, the dynamic pair of Optimus Prime and Megatron, formerly companions, are set to clash as ancient events unfold.

The trailer teases a light yet intriguing narrative, unlocking the early camaraderie between Orion Pax, later known as Optimus Prime, and his friend Megatron. However, a pivot towards animosity is palpable as secrets are unraveled, setting the stage for the ultimate clash between the iconic Transformers.

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura underlined the grandeur of this animated venture, suggesting that the colossal scope of “Transformers One” could only be realized through Industrial Light & Magic’s animated wizardry rather than live-action. The film promises to give fresh insights into the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron like never before, spanning the vast expanse of the Transformers universe.

Joining the stellar cast lineup alongside Hemsworth and Henry are Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, each breathing life into the well-known characters from the Transformers lore. With Josh Cooley steering the ship as the director and the pens of Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari at work on the script, “Transformers One” seems poised to be a captivating addition to the franchise’s narrative tapestry.

The animated odyssey of Optimus Prime and Megatron is slated to premiere on September 13, offering a fresh angle to the legendary tale of these timeless robotic figures.
