Trick-or-Treat Times Set for Halloween in Louisville
KENTUCKY, USA — Halloween falls on Friday, Oct. 31, with trick-or-treating events set to take place in Louisville and southern Indiana from 6 to 8 p.m. this year.
As darkness will fall around 6:44 p.m., local organizers urge families to take safety precautions during the festivities. Residents are encouraged to trick-or-treat in well-lit areas and remain in groups.
In Louisville, the Hillcrest neighborhood will be hosting a large celebration, while numerous other areas around Derby City are also planning Halloween activities. Oldham County will operate trick-or-treat from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by La Grange from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and many communities are coordinating events in set hours.
Local leaders remind families to have a safe plan for the evening. Parents should accompany younger children and discuss routes and returning times for older kids. It’s also advisable to use flashlights or glow sticks for added visibility.
If your community’s event isn’t listed, organizers encourage you to email updates for inclusion. With Halloween approaching, families are urged to get creative with costumes and celebrate this spooky season!
As excitement builds, locals are encouraged to enjoy Halloween festivities while remaining safe and vigilant.
