EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings selected defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins from the University of Georgia with the 139th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday. Ingram-Dawkins played 37 games for the Bulldogs from 2021 to 2024, recording 37 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks.

Ingram-Dawkins had a standout senior season, achieving career highs with 17 tackles and 3.0 sacks, earning invitations to both the Reese’s Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. His performance at Georgia has drawn attention, particularly due to his significant contributions in both run defense and pass rush.

Growing up in Gaffney, South Carolina, Ingram-Dawkins admired Jadeveon Clowney, the top pick in the 2014 Draft, and attended the same high school as former Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice. With his selection, Ingram-Dawkins becomes the seventh player from Georgia ever drafted by the Vikings.

Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah expressed enthusiasm about the pick, noting that Ingram-Dawkins’ versatility could be a valuable asset in the defense under head coach Brian Flores. Adofo-Mensah said, ‘Tyrion has the physical tools and athleticism we believe we can develop further.’

Ingram-Dawkins was highly recruited out of high school, receiving 30 scholarship offers. After an impressive collegiate career, he decided to forgo his senior season in pursuit of professional opportunities. As he joins the Vikings, fans are eager to see how quickly he can integrate into the defensive line rotation.
