VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Authorities are investigating a potential threat at Bayside High School on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a significant police presence in the area, according to a statement from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD).

The police issued an alert via social media, advising the public to steer clear of the vicinity as officers conduct their investigation. “There is a large police presence at Bayside High School as our officers investigate a potential threat,” the post stated.
