Vito Mielnicki Jr. Boxing Fight

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Vito Mielnicki Jr. will face off against unbeaten Samuel Nmomah in a highly anticipated 10-round middleweight bout at ANB Arena. The match is set to take place on a soon-to-be-announced date, as both fighters prepare for this critical challenge in their careers.

Mielnicki, who has a professional record of 21 wins and 1 loss with 12 knockouts, turned pro in 2019 at the age of 17. Since then, he has faced many trials in the boxing world, including a majority decision loss to James Martin in 2021. Now at 23, Mielnicki believes he has matured as a fighter, especially after training with acclaimed trainer Ronnie Shields.

“Ronnie and I have grown exponentially in these last few camps,” Mielnicki told BoxingScene. “It really has been just me and him down there. I know what I am going to get out of Ronnie every day.” Mielnicki emphasizes the predictability and structure that Shields provides, making training more efficient.

Throughout this camp, Mielnicki has been sparring with notable fighters, including Marquis Taylor, David Stevens, and Austin Deanda. In the past, he has also sparred with Jermall Charlo. With the upcoming fight in Saudi Arabia, Mielnicki has managed his jet lag by staying on East Coast time, going to sleep at around 7:30 or 8:00 AM and waking up at 4:00 PM.

He is at a pivot point in his career after parting ways with his previous promoter, Top Rank. “I am at the crossroad where I can either elevate my career or – which we are not even going to talk about – take a step back,” he said.

On the other hand, Nmomah, 28, boasts a perfect record of 21 wins with 5 KOs and is preparing to fight outside of Italy for the first time since turning pro in 2016. Mielnicki is eager to make a statement and reestablish himself in the boxing community as some fans have already formed opinions about his skills.

“There are positives and negatives that come with being a young fighter on TV,” Mielnicki explained. “Especially as a young guy, they see all the aches and pains that you are going through on the come-up.” He recently bought a home in Texas, which he believes will positively impact his performance in the ring.

“I feel now I have really come into my own,” Mielnicki added. As the fight approaches, he aims to showcase the growth he has achieved through training and personal development.
