Warriors' Draymond Green Ejected Early In Game Against Magic

Golden State Warriors‘ forward, Draymond Green, found himself in early trouble on Wednesday night, being ejected just four minutes into the game against the Orlando Magic. The incident occurred in the first quarter, with the score tied at 6-6, as Green received back-to-back technical fouls at the 8:24 mark.

Green’s first technical came after he argued with referee Ray Acosta following a foul called on Stephen Curry during a layup attempt by the Magic’s Paolo Banchero. Despite teammates trying to intervene, Green persisted in confronting Acosta, resulting in a second technical and subsequent ejection.

The ejection was a significant blow to the Warriors’ playoff ambitions, as they currently hold the 10th spot in the competitive Western Conference standings, on the cusp of the play-in tournament.

Warriors’ star point guard, Stephen Curry, expressed the team’s need for Green on the court, acknowledging his importance to their success. Head coach Steve Kerr accepted Green’s ejection, highlighting the necessity for players to step up in such situations.

Green’s early exit against the Magic followed a previous altercation with the Miami Heat‘s Patty Mills during their game on Tuesday. Despite the recent incidents, Kerr stated that Green’s trust within the team remains intact, emphasizing the need for his contributions moving forward.

Throughout the season, Green has faced multiple ejections and suspensions, including altercations with Rudy Gobert and Jusuf Nurkić, underscoring the volatile nature of his playing style.
