A popular YouTuber and musician from the United Kingdom, Andres Barrientos, known by his stage name Yung Filly, has been arrested on serious charges following an alleged incident in Perth, Australia. Barrientos has amassed a significant following, with 3.2 million followers on Instagram and over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube.

The allegations against Barrientos include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s breathing. These charges come after a woman in her 20s reported being sexually assaulted in his hotel room in Perth, shortly after Barrientos performed at an event in Hillarys on September 27.

Law enforcement officials took Barrientos into custody in Brisbane, Queensland, and subsequently extradited him to Western Australia on the evening of October 9. He is set to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on October 10.

The Western Australia Police Force’s sex assault squad is investigating the allegations, and they have appealed for anyone with additional information to contact Crime Stoppers.

Barrientos was in the midst of an Australian tour, which began in Perth and continued in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast. The tour featured a series of performances, marking Barrientos’s first visit to Australia as part of a live tour.

Aside from his music career, Barrientos is known for a variety of content on his YouTube channel, which was launched in 2013. His videos range from general knowledge quizzes to music videos and social media challenges.

The charges have cast a shadow over his tour, and further updates are awaited as the judicial process unfolds.
