Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Khabib Nurmagomedov Spotted Together at AC Milan Match
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Khabib Nurmagomedov were seen together at the San Siro for AC Milan‘s latest Serie A clash.
Ibrahimovic, a former player who retired in June, has been appointed as a senior advisor to AC Milan’s board and often attends matches alongside his new role. On Sunday night, he was present during Milan’s victory against Roma.
During the match, Ibrahimovic stood next to Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. Nurmagomedov, with an impressive 29-0 record, held the title of the longest-serving lightweight champion in UFC history.
This is not the first time Khabib has been spotted at a football game, as the Russian fighter has shown his love for the sport on multiple occasions. Earlier this year, Khabib and Ibrahimovic were seen together at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, along with football star Paul Pogba and tennis legend Novak Djokovic. Khabib also attended a Liverpool vs Chelsea match a few weeks later, where he bumped into Piers Morgan and Gabriel Jesus.
Coming back to the Milan vs Roma match, Yacine Adli opened the scoring for AC Milan with an impressive low strike, marking his first goal for the club. Olivier Giroud quickly doubled Milan’s lead early in the second half. Roma managed to get back into the game with a Leandro Paredes penalty, but their efforts were crushed by Theo Hernandez‘s fantastic goal in the final six minutes.
AC Milan’s 3-1 win secures their third-place position in Serie A, keeping them nine points behind leaders and rivals Inter Milan. With a strong performance, Milan looks set to secure a spot in the Champions League next season. On the other hand, Roma’s disappointing campaign places them at the ninth position in the table.
