Amy’s Kitchen is recalling more than 184,000 cans of soup sold in over 20 states and parts of Canada. The voluntary recall affects 15,350 cases of its Organic Lentil Soup – Light in Sodium. The problem? A manufacturing defect with the can’s easy-open pull tab.
According to an Amy’s spokesperson, the defect could cause the product to spoil. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure quality and safety. No other Amy’s Kitchen products or lot numbers are affected.
The recall was initiated on June 22, 2026, and is still ongoing. The affected soups have a best-by date of April 2027 with lot number 60D0924. They were distributed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
This recall comes shortly after another voluntary recall. The FDA posted a recall on July 13 involving more than 730,000 Pillsbury rolls sold to Walmart. Those rolls could contain pieces of glass. General Mills recalled 3,800 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Hard Roll Dough and 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Kaiser Roll Dough. The rolls were sold to Walmart, which makes them for its bakeries. Any baked rolls were removed from shelves.
