Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić will meet a UFC delegation on Wednesday, led by promotion president Dana White. The president’s media office confirmed the meeting on the eve of a historic event for the capital.
Belgrade is set to host its first UFC Fight Night, a landmark moment for the country’s mixed martial arts community. Luka Nikolić, president of the Serbian MMA Association, described the upcoming event as a major milestone.
“This is a big deal and a sign that Serbia is one of the leaders in this sport,” Nikolić said. “I expect that after this we will be long-term partners with the UFC.”
White’s visit carries weight beyond the octagon. He is a close friend of U.S. President Donald Trump, and the UFC’s showpiece event at the White House underscored his influence in American politics and entertainment. Nikolić highlighted that connection earlier, saying, “If people have followed even a little of the UFC event at the White House, they can see Dana White’s importance in America.”
