Bomb Threat at Gurugram District Court, Mini Secretariat Sparks Security Alert

Gurugram’s district court and mini secretariat were thrown into a state of high alert on Friday after receiving a bomb threat. The message, which prompted immediate action from local authorities, triggered searches across the premises.

The threat was received in the evening hours, according to preliminary information. Haryana Police and bomb disposal squads rushed to the spot, cordoning off the areas as a precautionary measure. Shocked staff and visitors were evacuated while personnel combed through the buildings.

As the search unfolded, tension hung in the air. Officers were seen checking every corner, leaving no stone unturned. A senior police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the threat and said that a thorough investigation has been initiated. “We are taking it seriously,” he said.

This incident adds to a series of similar scares in the NCR region, where such threats have often turned out to be pranks. Yet, authorities cannot afford to take chances. At the time of filing this report, the search was still ongoing and no suspicious objects had been found. Officials have not divulged the exact content of the threat, nor have they commented on whether it came via email or phone.
