Season 8 of Peacock‘s “Love Island USA” wrapped on July 12, and for the second straight year it broke viewership records, cementing itself as the summer’s most-watched reality series. The show drew a massive audience, with NBC reporting that more than 30% of viewers were new to the franchise and nearly 30% watched on mobile devices.
Now, fans won’t have to wait long to see the islanders again. The Season 8 reunion is set to air exclusively on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 31. The special will be co-hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen, marking the third time the pair has teamed up for the reunion.
The season ended with Trinity Tatum and Bryce Dettloff, both original islanders who coupled up on day one, being crowned the winners. Unlike previous seasons where the $100,000 prize hinged on a choice to split or keep, Trinity and Bryce split the money by default. And they’re still together outside the villa. Peacock reported on July 22 that the couple is planning a future together, with Trinity considering a move from Virginia to Los Angeles so they can eventually live together.
Trinity said she wants to be “wherever Bryce is,” while Bryce said their relationship provides emotional comfort and support as they adjust to life and fame after the show.
The runner-up couple, Aniya and Carl, are also still dating but have chosen to take things slowly. Peacock confirmed on July 30 that Aniya Harvey and Carl Lee Schmidt are not officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet, though their connection has remained strong outside the villa.
Third-place finishers Melanie and Sincere are reportedly still “figuring things out” after a chaotic season. Sincere told Peacock that he’s looking forward to wooing Melanie with romantic dates now that they’re back in the real world, while Melanie is enjoying some much-deserved rest.
As for Kayda and Zach, they’re still going strong but are separated by an entire ocean. Zach had to return to the UK to sort out his visa, making their relationship long-distance for now, according to Cosmopolitan.
The reunion will air on Aug. 31, and fans of last year’s season might be interested to know that Season 7 winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales are no longer together as of July 2026. Also, Jacksonville‘s Nic Vansteenberghe, who placed second with Olandria Carthen in Season 7, confirmed the pair split after more than a year of dating.
