Olympique de Marseille and Paris FC have released their official starting lineups for their Ligue 1 meeting at the Vélodrome on Sunday. Both teams set up in a 4-2-3-1 shape, giving the matchday three fixture a clear tactical prelude.
Marseille coach Genesio brings Nayef Aguerd and Igor Paixao back into the starting XI. Jeffrey De Lange starts in goal, protected by captain Timothy Weah, CJ Egan-Riley, Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri. Himad Abdelli and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sit in midfield, with Angel Gomes one line higher. Amine Harit, Amine Gouiri and Paixao make up the front three.
Visitors Paris FC line up with Kevin Trapp as goalkeeper. Adama Camara, Samir Chergui, Diego Coppola and Hamari Traoré form the back four. Maxime Lopez and Pierre Lees-Melou are the double pivot, while Lassine Sinayoko leads the attack with Illan Kebbal, Pablo Pagis and Lucas Koleosho around him.
Weah captains Marseille for the match. Gomez occupies that link role between midfield and attack, a detail that could matter against a compact Paris side. Lopez returns to the Stade Vélodrome in the opposing shirt, and the midfield tussle with Hojbjerg and Abdelli adds another edge.
The teams were confirmed shortly before kickoff. With Aguerd back at centre-back and Paixao restored to the wide-left role, Marseille will attempt to settle the game early in front of their home supporters.
