Sweden Host Poland in Nations League Rematch After Gyökeres Winner

Poland and Sweden meet once again, this time in the UEFA Nations League in Solna on Monday, Sept. 28. Sweden opened its return to League B with a 2-1 win over Romania on Friday at the Strawberry Arena. Viktor Gyökeres turned in a rebound two minutes before halftime for the winner.

But the Swedes won’t have the services of Alexander Isak for the rest of the window, with the striker returning to Liverpool due to injury. Poland comes in looking for its first goal of the campaign. Robert Lewandowski started up front in Friday’s opener, but the visitors were held 0-0 by Bosnia and Herzegovina in Warsaw. That leaves the Poles with one point, two behind the group-leading Swedes.

This will be a rematch of a World Cup qualifying playoff final in March, which Sweden won 3-2 thanks to a late Gyökeres winner. If you are looking for betting advice for the matchup, we’ve got you covered. Here are the latest odds for the game, courtesy of OddsWire. Poland controlled play against Bosnia and still couldn’t score, while Sweden found two goals in one half against Romania. The Swedes should make it two wins from two. Prediction: Sweden 2, Poland 1
