Scamacca, Alaba and Vlasic: Serie A Probable Lineups Take Shape

Serie A’s sixth matchday concludes tonight with Atalanta–Venezia and Torino-Udinese. Atalanta’s coach Sarri seems ready to rely on Scamacca in attack. Scamacca is favored in the head-to-head with Krstovic. De Ketelaere and Rowe are ready on either side.

In midfield Elmas could beat Samardzic to play with Kessie and Ederson. In defense Bellanova and Bernasconi are ahead of Zappacosta and Kolasinac. Kristensen and Scalvini complete the department ahead of Carnesecchi. Raspadori trained with the group yesterday and is called up.

Venezia’s formation is taking shape. Ahead of Stankovic, Schingtienne is ahead of Haps to partner Juan Jesus and Moreno. In midfield Basic is favored over Helgason to play with Perez and Sohm. Hainaut and Correia are ready on the flanks, with Sagrado further back in the ballot. In attack there is the Adams-Yeboah pair.

Torino has some lineup doubts for tonight’s game against Udinese. The first is in defense, with a wide-open ballot between Comert and Rodriguez to play with Coco and Comuzzo. In midfield Fitz-Jim and Mandragora are sure of a place; the third shirt is between Braganca and Oristanio. On the flanks there are Belghali and Cacciamani. Watch Vlasic: he is in a head-to-head with Adams to play forward with Simeone. Alternatively Abate could consider dropping the Croatian into midfield and fielding the two strikers from the first minute.

Udinese: immediate Alaba temptation for Runjaic. The Udinese coach is thinking of starting the Austrian center-back alongside Abankwah and Solet. The alternative is one of Kabasele or Palma. In midfield, alongside Karlstrom, the ballot is between Miller, Zarraga and Lovric: three are in contention for one shirt. Vojvoda and Kamara are ready on the flanks. In attack Davis returns; Zaniolo is out; behind him Ekkelenkamp and Unai Gomez are favored over Chakvetadze.

On the betting front, three matches, two home wins and an Over 2.5 build a treble with an interesting multiplier. Atalanta hosts Venezia in a game that could be the right occasion to return to victory. The Bergamo side has gone through a complicated period, marked by three consecutive defeats, but it retains superior offensive potential compared with its opponents. Venezia has not yet earned points in the first five matchdays and has already conceded 13 goals. That situation highlights above all the team’s difficulties in the defensive phase. Playing in front of its own public, Atalanta has the opportunity to take the game in hand from the first minutes. The technical gap between the two formations and the home side’s need to move the table lead us to choose a Bergamo success. Prediction: 1, odds 1.57.

Famalicão faces Alverca in a challenge between two teams coming off encouraging results. The hosts arrive from a convincing 4-0 victory against Nacional and have extended their positive run to four matches. Alverca, instead, has won two consecutive games and arrives with a good dose of confidence. It will not be a predictable game, especially considering the guests’ recent improvement. Famalicão, however, seems to have found greater continuity, both in build-up play and in its ability to convert chances. The home factor could make the difference in a game in which we expect a proactive attitude from the hosts. Our choice therefore falls on a Famalicão victory. Prediction: 1, odds 1.88.

We close the treble with the Spanish clash between Levante and Sevilla, choosing this time the goals market. Levante has shown rather inconsistent form, especially defensively. In recent matches there have been 3-1 defeats against Villarreal and 4-2 against Barcelona, preceded by the spectacular 5-2 victory against Betis. Sevilla has also alternated positive and negative results, showing it can nonetheless find the way to score. The Andalusians arrive from a 3-1 defeat against Barcelona and will have to seek a reaction. Considering the defensive difficulties shown by Levante and the possibility that both teams find spaces to strike, we imagine an open game in which three total goals represent a plausible target. Prediction: Over 2.5, odds 1.95. Total odds: 5.76.
