Sacramento State Hosts Central Arkansas in College Football Showdown
Sacramento, California – The No. 22 Sacramento State Hornets will face off against the Central Arkansas Bears on Saturday night at Hornet Stadium. This matchup marks the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
The Hornets enter the game with a record of 1-2, coming off a 49-28 victory over Mercyhurst on September 13. The win was a much-needed boost for Sacramento State after they suffered losses to then-No. 3 South Dakota State and FBS Nevada in their first two games.
In the win against Mercyhurst, running back Damian Henderson II stood out, rushing for 98 yards and scoring three touchdowns on just 12 carries. The Hornets will look to build on this performance as they seek to create momentum in the early part of the season.
On the other side, Central Arkansas is also looking to bounce back after suffering a 56-10 defeat at the hands of Tarleton, also on September 13. The Bears have faced a challenging start to the season, losing their opener 61-6 to Power 4 Missouri before achieving a decisive 41-17 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in their home opener.
As both teams aim to improve their season records, the Saturday night matchup promises excitement for college football fans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT, and viewers can live stream the game on Fubo, though regional restrictions may apply.
This game will be crucial for both teams as they continue their quest for a successful season.
