Rashad Greene Inducted into FSU Hall of Fame This Weekend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Rashad Greene, a former star receiver for Florida State University, is set to be inducted into the FSU Athletics Hall of Fame this weekend. Greene, who now resides in Tallahassee with his wife, Jasmine, and their three sons, reflects fondly on his time as a Seminole.
Greene, 33, was a key player during FSU’s 2013 national championship season. He holds the school record for career receptions with 270, and his total of 3,830 receiving yards ranks him second all-time. Greene scored 29 touchdowns throughout his college career and was known for his explosive plays on the field, including a remarkable game with 203 receiving yards against Oklahoma State.
His induction is particularly special as it comes alongside his quarterback from that championship team, Jameis Winston, who captured the Heisman Trophy in 2013. Greene expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating, “I didn’t see it coming. Being part of a group of elite people like this is special, really like a dream come true.”
The induction ceremony will take place during FSU’s sold-out football game against Kent State at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday, September 21, at 3:30 p.m. Greene also reminisced about meeting Jasmine at FSU and how the university has shaped both his professional and personal life.
“The school means a lot to me. It’s one of the places where I had great moments in my football career, including meeting my wife and raising my family,” Greene said. “This is home for me.”
Having a long career that included stints in the NFL and CFL, Greene continues to stay connected to football by coaching youth in the Pop Warner League. His legacy as a Seminole remains strong, with support from fans and family as he enters this new chapter.
