Buffalo Bills Tight Ends Shine Ahead of Saints Showdown

ORCHARD PARK, New York – The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a pivotal matchup against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday, bringing along a unique NFL record as they seek their fourth consecutive win. A key focus in their strategy is tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has quickly become one of the team’s most reliable offensive assets.
Selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Kincaid has made a significant impact on the Bills’ offense this season. After three games, he has registered 13 receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns, ranking second on the team and tied for the league lead among tight ends in touchdowns.
Kincaid’s emergence is especially important as he bounced back from an injury-plagued sophomore season. His contributions included scoring on Buffalo’s opening drives against both the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins, underscoring his role as a difference-maker.
“It’s great to see Dalton coming into his own,” said quarterback Josh Allen. “He’s creating mismatches and helping us spread the field.”
Along with Kincaid, the Bills have veteran Dawson Knox and rookie Jackson Hawes, who together have helped form one of the most formidable tight end units in the NFL. Knox and Hawes combined for seven catches, 78 yards, and a touchdown against the Dolphins, further showcasing the depth of the Bills’ offense that has scored over 30 points in every game this season.
Adding to the Bills’ impressive feat, the team has not lost the turnover battle in their last 25 games, a record in the NFL. Remarkably, Buffalo is one of only three teams this year, alongside the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to not commit a turnover. This streak dates back to last season when they led the league in fewest turnovers.
In Thursday’s practice, the Bills faced some injury challenges, with defensive tackle Ed Oliver, linebacker Matt Milano, and right tackle Spencer Brown ruled out for Sunday’s game. Defensive end A.J. Epenesa was limited as he recovers from a pectoral injury.
As the team prepares to face the Saints, analysts are keeping close watch on the status of their defense, which is still searching for an increase in sack production despite higher pressure rates. The Bills are set to take the field Sunday with a strong determination to maintain their record and showcase their evolving offense led by Kincaid and company.
