Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair Releasing in Theaters This December

LOS ANGELES, CA — Quentin Tarantino‘s epic revenge saga, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,” will make its nationwide theatrical debut on December 5, 2025. This long-awaited release brings together both “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2” into one complete film for the first time.
The film will be screened in select 70mm and 35mm formats across major markets, offering fans a chance to see the full story as it was originally intended. In a statement, Tarantino expressed his excitement for the release: “I wrote and directed it as one movie — and I’m so glad to give the fans the chance to see it as one movie. The best way to see ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ is at a movie theater in glorious 70mm or 35mm. Blood and guts on a big screen in all its glory!”
This version eliminates the cliffhanger ending from “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and the recap opening from “Kill Bill Vol. 2,” creating a unified narrative. Additionally, viewers will be treated to a never-before-seen 7½-minute animated sequence.
<p"Kill Bill" was conceived as a single feature but was split into two films due to its lengthy runtime of over four hours. The two parts were released separately in 2003 and 2004 and collectively grossed over $333 million worldwide.
The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, but audiences have had limited chances to see the entire saga together. Earlier this year, Tarantino screened his personal Cannes print at the Vista Theater in Los Angeles, which he owns. That limited run included an intermission, reminiscent of classic cinema.
Lionsgate manages the library distribution rights for several Tarantino classics, including “Reservoir Dogs,” “Jackie Brown,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “Death Proof.”
Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, embarking on a quest for revenge after being left for dead by her former lover, Bill, portrayed by David Carradine. To exact her vengeance, The Bride must confront the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before facing Bill himself.
With its operatic drama and relentless action, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” stands out as a powerful revenge story rarely seen in its complete form, and fans are eagerly anticipating its theatrical release.
