Conan Gray Captivates Fans at Ascend Amphitheater Concert

Pop singer-songwriter Conan Gray captivated fans on September 24, 2025, during his concert at the Ascend Amphitheater. Gray, known for his indie pop hits, showcased songs from his new album, “Wishbone,” in a lively performance that had fans singing along throughout the night.
Gray burst onto the music scene after starting his career as a YouTube content creator in 2017. He later left the University of California, Los Angeles, to focus on his music, releasing his debut EP, “Sunset Season.” Fans recognized him for acclaimed hits like “Heather,” “Maniac,” and “People Watching.” His latest album, “Wishbone,” has gained similar popularity.
The concert opened with performances by artist hemlocke springs, who sang tracks from her debut album “going… going… GONE!” as well as some unreleased music. The crowd enjoyed her mix of upbeat pop infused with rock and baroque elements.
As Gray prepared to take the stage, songs by his friend Olivia Rodrigo filled the air, setting the mood. One of Rodrigo’s lyrics served as a cue for Gray’s entrance. He rode a bike on stage, dressed in an outfit resembling his album cover, instantly energizing the crowd.
Gray thanked the audience for their support, despite challenging weather conditions that prompted him to move the show’s start time to 8:15 p.m. “Thank you for waiting through this terrible weather for me,” he said.
In a unique twist, Gray invited fans to participate in choosing a surprise song during the concert. He asked the audience, “Who here tonight wants to help me pick the next song?” The crowd cheered, and a fan named Gray was selected. In a playful turn, the two engaged in a wishbone game to determine who would choose the next song, with the fan ultimately opting for “Care,” the final track from “Wishbone.”
The show culminated in Gray performing “Vodka Cranberry.” After stepping off stage, the audience chanted for him to return, prompting an encore featuring “Memories” and “Caramel.” Gray’s performance highlighted his love for music and the connection he shares with his fans, making the concert an unforgettable experience.
