HBO Max Unveils Exciting December Lineup with New Titles
NEW YORK, NY — HBO Max is set to deliver an impressive lineup of shows and films this December, promising a mix of original documentaries, beloved classics, and family-friendly options.
The highlight of the month is the arrival of all seven seasons of the Emmy-winning series Mad Men, just in time for a winter binge. The acclaimed drama follows the life of Don Draper and the Sterling Cooper advertising agency during the societal upheaval of the 1960s.
On December 4, the streaming service will debut the HBO Original documentary It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley, which dives into the life and legacy of the iconic musician known for his haunting vocal style. This documentary features rare footage and interviews with those close to Buckley.
Family favorites include The Family McMullen, a sequel to the 1995 film The Brothers McMullen, arriving on December 5. Directed by Edward Burns, it continues the story of the McMullen family as they navigate romance and relationships.
Comedy fans can look forward to Saudi comedian Sarah Sherman’s stand-up special Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh, debuting on December 12. This hour-long special is expected to mix humor with unique storytelling.
Additionally, the service will release new music documentaries such as Wizkid: Long Live Lagos, showcasing the rise of the Afrobeat star on December 11, and Counting Crows: Have You Seen Me Lately?, which follows lead singer Adam Duritz, debuting on December 18.
