Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault’s Modern Fairytale Love Story
VENICE, Italy – Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault‘s love story resembles a modern fairytale, blending romance with family values.
The couple first met in spring 2006 at a glamorous gala held at the Palazzo Grassi, a significant venue for the Pinault family. Their relationship blossomed, leading to a public engagement announcement in March 2007, along with the news of Hayek’s pregnancy.
In September 2007, they welcomed their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault. Hayek, who became a mother at 41, has described this milestone as deeply fulfilling and meaningful. In a 2017 interview, she expressed her gratitude for not only having Valentina but also for joining a larger family. Her husband, Pinault, has two older children, François and Mathilde, from a previous marriage, as well as a son, Augustin, from a past relationship.
“I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to. My body, as a miracle, had one,” Hayek said. “The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different,” she added.
The couple formalized their union on February 14, 2009, in a private civil ceremony in Paris‘s 6th arrondissement. They celebrated with a lavish event at Venice’s historic opera house just months later, surrounded by friends and notable guests.
In 2018, Hayek and Pinault renewed their vows in a picturesque ceremony on the island of Bora Bora, showcasing their enduring commitment.
Over the years, the couple has balanced their public lives with their private family experiences. Hayek has often emphasized authenticity and pursuing personal ambitions, even amid speculation about their union. Together, they have crafted a relationship built on love, dedication, and shared experiences.
