DALLAS – Car critic Ed Wallace has died at his home in Fort Worth. He was 72 years old. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Wallace was well-known for his weekly car reviews on the television show Good Day, where he shared his expertise for over 26 years.

Every Friday, Ed would review the latest cars and trucks on Good Day, captivating viewers with his insights and unique storytelling style. He also contributed a column to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and hosted ‘Wheels with Ed Wallace,’ a popular Saturday morning radio show on KLIF 570 that began in 1993.

Wallace retired from his reviewing duties in 2022, but his legacy continued through the many listeners and readers who valued his advice. His wife, Judi Smith, who also worked at FOX 4, expressed her sorrow, saying, “He just wanted to fade into the sunset, you know?”

His radio show was loved by audiences not just for auto reviews but for his engaging narratives that covered topics from music to American history.
