Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story to Premiere on ZEE5

Sudipto Sen’s highly anticipated film, The Kerala Story, is set to make its digital premiere on the popular OTT platform ZEE5. After gaining significant attention and achieving impressive box office numbers, the film will be available for streaming starting February 16th.

Adah Sharma, the lead actress of the film, took to social media platform Instagram to share the exciting news with her fans. She posted, ‘FINALLY! SURPRISE!! The most anticipated film is dropping soon on ZEE5! #TheKeralaStory premieres on 16th February, only on #ZEE5.’

The film’s journey to an OTT release faced some obstacles. Back in June 2023, the makers of The Kerala Story expressed their frustration about not receiving suitable offers from any OTT platforms. They also claimed that the film industry had ‘ganged up’ against them due to its box office success. However, after months of anticipation, the film has found its digital home on ZEE5.

Director Sudipto Sen commented on the significance of tackling such a sensitive topic through the film. He stated that the success of The Kerala Story at the box office was an assurance and source of gratification for him as a filmmaker. Sen urged those who haven’t seen the film yet to watch it on ZEE5 for a transformational experience.
