Adult Film Star Jesse Jane Found Dead In Apparent Overdose

Popular adult film performer Jesse Jane has been found dead at the age of 43 in her hometown of Moore, Oklahoma. Authorities discovered her body, along with her boyfriend Brett Hasenmuller, after responding to a welfare check call. The cause of death is believed to be an overdose, pending final results from the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner.

Jesse Jane gained fame in the early 2000s as an adult film actress, but she also made a mark in mainstream entertainment. She had roles in the adult films Pirates and Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge, which gained attention for their high budgets. Jane further crossed over into mainstream films, appearing in Starsky and Hutch, an episode of HBO‘s Entourage, and Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, produced by Adam Sandler. She was also involved in the music industry, dating Kid Rock and appearing in Drowning Pool’s music video for “Step Up.”

In 2017, Jesse Jane announced her retirement from the adult industry, but briefly returned in 2019. During her career, she spoke out against alleged harassing behavior by adult film star Ron Jeremy at expos. Her words later gained significance as Jeremy faced multiple charges of rape and sexual assault, ultimately unable to stand trial due to a decline in his health.

Following the news of Jesse Jane’s passing, fellow adult performers and industry veterans expressed their condolences and shared memories of working with her. Alana Evans, President of the Adult Performance Artists Guild (APAG), described her as a down-to-earth, kind-hearted person who remained humble despite her stardom. Evans recalled a special moment when Jane invited her to watch the premiere of Pirates from the VIP balcony, showcasing her pride in the film’s impact on the adult industry.

Jesse Jane’s legacy as an adult film star and her ability to transcend into mainstream entertainment will long be remembered by those who knew her and admired her work.
