Amanda Holden Talks New Show and Future Acting Dreams

London, England – Amanda Holden is back in the spotlight with a new Saturday-night quiz show called “The Inner Circle.” The show debuted on September 30, 2025, at 5:35 PM on BBC One and iPlayer, mixing general knowledge with a unique twist of trust dynamics.
Holden, well-known for her engaging presence on shows like “Britain’s Got Talent” and her radio program, expressed her excitement about the new venture. “It’s a bit of everything – a blend of quiz formats with a touch of fizz, which is totally me!” she stated. Her enthusiasm for the format showcases her competitive nature. “I like winning! There should always be a first, second, and third,” she added.
While Holden is thrilled about the new project, she reflects on her love for acting, a passion she has cherished since childhood. “I always wanted to act. I put on shows in the garden as a child. I didn’t have the chance for extra classes, but a local group in my town changed everything for me,” she recalled.
In recent years, Holden has focused on her multiple roles, including her work on the breakfast show at Heart Radio and her judging position on Britain’s Got Talent. “I’ve been rediscovered in my 50s, which feels bizarre yet wonderful,” she said. “I’ve always been authentic and kind; I believe that’s key to my success.”
Holden also touched on the issue of “nepo babies,” a term referring to privileged children benefiting from family connections in the industry. Her daughter Lexi has been signed by the modeling agency Storm. “Yes, she’s my child, but talent and hard work matter most,” Holden emphasized, noting Lexi’s commitment to education and side jobs while studying at university.
As she balances different projects and commitments, Holden is determined to return to acting in the future, reflecting on her Olivier nomination for her work in “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” “I may not have won, but it was a big achievement for me,” she shared.
With “The Inner Circle” now live, viewers can witness Holden’s charm and competitive spirit on Saturday nights. When asked about the future of her acting career, she said, “I absolutely am going to go back to it.”
