Carrie Underwood Celebrates Full Circle Moment at Grand Ole Opry
Nashville, Tennessee — Carrie Underwood took to TikTok on October 31, 2025, to share a nostalgic moment celebrating her journey in country music. The 42-year-old singer posted a 30-year-old photo of herself as a child standing in front of a Grand Ole Opry microphone.
In her video, Underwood performed her heartfelt song “Little Girl Don’t Grow Up Too Fast,” which she released as a bonus track for her 2015 album, Storyteller. The album features notable tracks such as “Church Bells” and “Smoke Break.”
Underwood noted that the black-and-white photo was taken around 1995 when she was approximately 12 years old. “From 1995(ish) at the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum… to 2025 at the Grand Ole Opry! 👧🏼🙋🏼♀️🎤,” she captioned her post.
This year marks a significant celebration for the Grand Ole Opry, which is observing its 100th anniversary, having made its debut on November 28, 1925. In front of the newly decorated microphone, Underwood reflected on her growth as an artist.
Underwood, an eight-time Grammy winner, was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 by fellow Oklahoma-born country star Garth Brooks. Her transformation from a young girl dreaming on the Opry stage to a celebrated country music icon underscores her deep connection to the genre.
Fans can see her full circle transformation on her social media channels.
