George Strait Super Bowl Lx Petition

Los Angeles, CA – Fans are making their voices heard ahead of the Super Bowl LX halftime show, scheduled for February 8, 2026. A growing number of supporters are pushing for country music legend George Strait to replace Bad Bunny, the current headliner, igniting significant controversy.

The petition campaign has rapidly gained traction online, with over 10,000 signatures collected on Change.org. Petition starter Kar Shell expressed her sentiments, stating that the Super Bowl halftime show should honor American culture and unite the country. She argued, “Bad Bunny represents none of these values; his drag performances and style are the opposite of what families expect on football’s biggest stage.”

Strait, 73, is heralded as one of the greatest country music stars, boasting a remarkable career that has captivated fans for decades. Proponents of the petition believe that his presence would ensure a more family-friendly atmosphere during the prestigious event.

In response to the announcement of Bad Bunny as the headliner, Shell and others have voiced their discontent, advocating for a show that reflects traditional values. While one petition has surpassed 10,000 signatures, another calling for Strait has garnered more than 1,300 supporters.

Bad Bunny, a prominent figure in Latin Trap music, addressed his upcoming performance during a recent appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” He encouraged anyone who doesn’t understand Spanish to take the initiative to learn, remarking, “You have four months.”
