Ireland‘s Eurovision 2024 representative, Bambie Thug, made a surprising announcement today as they revealed their decision to not participate in the Grand Final dress rehearsal.

In a statement shared on their personal Instagram account, Bambie cited an urgent situation that required attention from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) as the reason behind their absence during the rehearsal.

While Ireland’s absence during the dress rehearsal left a void, Bambie assured fans and followers that they still plan to take the stage for the live Grand Final performance.

During the rehearsal, footage from Ireland’s previous performance during the jury show on Friday night was used to fill the gap left by Bambie’s absence.
