Gingrich Praises Trump’s Historic Peace Deal with Israel and Hamas

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich commended President Donald Trump for his unprecedented peace deal between Israel and Hamas during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on October 13, 2025.
Gingrich described Trump’s approach as transformative, saying, “The amazing thing about President Trump… he can focus totally on the moment, and yet the other part of him is strategically thinking years and decades ahead.” His remarks highlighted the significance of the peace agreement, which effectively concluded a two-year conflict.
He emphasized that Trump’s ability to bring nations together was a remarkable occurrence, noting, “You saw that Trump personally knew every person on that stage… represents a level of vision and a level of toughness.” The former speaker also referenced other military actions, such as the B-2 stealth bomber mission that targeted Iran’s nuclear aspirations.
Gingrich reflected on the global reaction to Trump’s leadership, stating, “Imagine how both Xi and Putin must have felt… they were seeing the real leader of the world, and they’ve seen the world gather around him voluntarily, not out of fear, but out of hope.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed optimism linked to the Middle East peace deal, suggesting it could signify a path toward resolution in his own country’s conflict with Russia. The peace agreement not only ended hostilities but also facilitated the release of hostages, leading to emotional reunions in Gaza.
