Glastonbury Festival 2025: Ticket Sales, Registration, and Rumored Line-up
The highly anticipated Glastonbury Festival, one of the world’s largest and most popular music events, is set to return in 2025. With renowned performers such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain having previously graced the iconic pyramid stage, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 2025 headliners. The festival is scheduled to take place from June 25th to 29th, 2025, following a fallow year in 2026 when the organizers traditionally rest the grounds.
For those hoping to secure a ticket to this coveted event, official sales are set to start at two different times. According to the festival’s announcement on October 10th, coach and ticket packages will go on sale at 6 pm on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, while standard tickets will be available from 9 am on Sunday, November 17th. It is crucial to note that “See Tickets” is the only authorized seller of Glastonbury tickets.
The general admission tickets for Glastonbury 2025 are priced at £373.50, with an additional £5 booking fee. This marks an increase of £18.50 from the 2024 ticket prices, which were themselves a £55 increase from the previous year. Emily Eavis, the festival organizer, explained, “We have tried very hard to minimize the increase in price on the ticket, but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, whilst still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of COVID.”
Registration for tickets is a mandatory step and is currently open. Those who have previously registered are advised to check and update their registration details to avoid complications when the ticket sales commence. Additionally, a resale event typically happens in April prior to the festival, allowing another opportunity for hopeful attendees to secure their spot.
Rumors have already begun circulating regarding the prospective line-up for 2025. Ed Sheeran is speculated to be one of the headliners, with reports suggesting that the pop star could take the iconic Pyramid Stage on the festival’s Friday night. Other potential performers include Olivia Rodrigo, who has rescheduled her Manchester tour dates to immediately follow the festival, heightening speculations of her participation.
The Glastonbury Festival’s unique history traces back to 1970, when it was initially dubbed the ‘Pilton Festival‘ and tickets cost a mere £1. Over the decades, the event has grown exponentially in size, scope, and fame, transforming into an indispensable cultural phenomenon celebrated for its diverse performances and inclusive environment.
