Green Day Announces European Festival Dates for 2025
The iconic punk rock band, Green Day, has announced their first European festival performances for the upcoming summer season. They will headline the Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany, scheduled between June 20 and June 22, 2025. During these festivals, Green Day will share the stage with several renowned names in the music industry. Tickets for the events are available as interest builds around these select performances.
This announcement marks their only confirmed European dates for 2025 at this time, following a successful tour across Europe earlier in the year. Currently, Green Day is continuing their tour across the United States, and they have also planned shows in South Africa, Asia, and Australia from January through March. Notably, their schedule includes a headline performance at Lollapalooza India in Mumbai.
The announcement has led to speculation regarding their potential appearance at Glastonbury 2025, which runs from June 25 to June 29. Although the band has never played at the renowned festival, they are among the rumored acts for a headline slot. Co-organizer Emily Eavis confirmed her excitement for next year’s lineup, fueling further anticipation.
As part of the ongoing ‘Saviors‘ tour, Green Day is celebrating significant milestones—specifically, the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album ‘Dookie‘ and the 20th anniversary of ‘American Idiot‘. Their performances include tracks from their latest album, released earlier this January. The album has been praised as their best work since ‘American Idiot’, according to NME, who described it as both wise and invigorating while retaining the band’s classic pop-punk style.
In addition to Green Day, the UK rock concert scene will feature performances from other major acts, ensuring a diverse and exciting summer for rock music enthusiasts. NME suggested that Green Day’s tour might be the highlight due to their timeless appeal, energetic performances, and their ability to captivate both new and long-standing fans.
