SHREVEPORT, La. — Kindred Restaurant, a vegan eatery featured on Gordon Ramsay‘s ‘Kitchen Nightmares,’ closed its doors in December 2024, just months after filming an episode for the show. The episode aired on Jan. 28, 2025, revealing the restaurant’s struggles with cleanliness and organization.

Kindred, which had been open for five years, announced its closure on Dec. 24, 2024, via a social media post. ‘New Orleans, thanks for 5 years! But, our time is coming to an end. We will be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday of this week 5pm-10pm. We hope you visit us one more time before we shut our doors for good! Thanks again!’ the post read.

During the episode, Ramsay threatened to leave Kindred after finding its kitchen in disarray. The restaurant’s struggles with direction and organization were highlighted, leading to its eventual closure. The episode was part of the show’s second season, which premiered in January 2025.
