Key Leaders Gather for PM Modi’s Historic Third Term Oath Ceremony

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to take oath for the third consecutive term today, as a selected group of key leaders gather at the historic Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi.

The oath of office will be administered by the President, Droupadi Murmu, amidst tight security arrangements by the Delhi Police, SWAT, and NSG commandos.

Leaders from neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and the Maldives, are expected to witness the ceremony, in addition to dignitaries from Seychelles, Mauritius, and Nepal as part of India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy.

Before the ceremony, PM Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, embodying the essence of leadership and humility.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has been allocated a significant role in the new cabinet, reflecting India’s commitment to strong diplomatic relations.

Notably, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the absence of her party, Trinamool Congress, at the event citing concerns over the government’s illegitimacy, marking a unique political statement.

Amid the gathering, PM Modi is expected to meet with top ministers and allies, paving the way for a strong and cohesive government for his third term.

As the ceremony unfolds, the presence of key dignitaries and political figures sets the tone for a new chapter in Indian politics, shaping the future under PM Modi’s leadership.
