West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Hospitalized Following Severe Injury

Trinamool Congress Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, was rushed to the SSKM Hospital after sustaining severe injuries due to an incident near her home.

The party’s social media account posted images of Banerjee with a sizable cut on her forehead where she was being treated.

According to Dr. Manimoy Banerjee, the Director at SSKM Hospital, Mamata Banerjee arrived at the hospital around 7:30 pm following a fall near her home attributed to an external push.

She was diagnosed with a cerebral concussion and a deep cut on her forehead and nose which was causing significant bleeding.

Later on, she received stitches for her injuries and was discharged to return home, accompanied by her nephew and TMC leader, Abhishek Banerjee.

Notably, Mamata Banerjee had faced a similar instance last year in June after an emergency landing of her helicopter at Sevoke airbase near Siliguri due to poor weather, resulting in ligament injuries to her knee and hip joints.
