Landman Returns: Billy Bob Thornton and Cast Discuss Season Two
The hit Paramount+ drama series, Landman, is set to return for its second season on November 16, 2025. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, and Ali Larter, the show follows eccentric cowboys and billionaires in West Texas competing for oil riches.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman has gained significant attention for its blend of humor, scandal, and intense business negotiations. Thornton, who plays Tommy in the show, reflected on its success, saying, “It does feel special. It strikes a chord with people because the characters are well-drawn and Taylor writes wonderful stories and dialogue.”
Co-creator Wallace added, “Working with legends like Demi and Billy is exciting. Taylor’s writing is incredible, and the depth the actors bring adds to the show’s uniqueness.” Larter, who plays Angela, said that the cast’s camaraderie enhances their on-screen performance.
Elliott, portraying T.L., remarked on Sheridan’s talent, stating, “Every time someone talks about this, it starts with Taylor Sheridan.” Garcia, who plays Gallino, expressed his excitement to collaborate with Sheridan, saying, “When Taylor calls, I’m all in!”
Rising star Michelle Randolph, cast as Ainsley, emphasized the show’s relatable family dynamics, noting, “Everyone can relate to family chaos, and that’s what our show centers around.” Jacob Lofland, who plays Cooper, praised the exceptional cast and the unique storytelling of Landman.
As the interview wrapped up, cast members humorously shared what they would say to their characters. Thornton joked about telling Tommy to relax, while Elliott said T.L. needs to toughen up.
Landman’s first season premiered in November 2024, attracting over 5.2 million viewers, making it the most successful debut for Paramount+ in two years. As season two approaches, Thornton acknowledged the pressure to meet audience expectations. “There’s always pressure to ensure it continues, but you have to focus on doing your job,” he said.
With a talented ensemble and engaging storylines, Landman is preparing to take viewers on another thrilling ride beginning November 16 on Paramount+.
