Madonna Performs In Montreal As Ticket Prices Drop

Madonna, the iconic pop star, is set to deliver electrifying performances at the Centre Bell in Montreal for her The Celebration Tour. The singer, who has French-Canadian ancestry through her mother Madonna Louise Fortin, revealed her Quebec roots during her Who’s That Girl tour in 1987. Madonna’s last visit to Montreal was in 2015 for her Rebel Heart tour.

The show, scheduled for Thursday evening, will feature a setlist of 26 songs, including popular hits from throughout Madonna’s career, such as Everybody, Into the Groove, Holiday, Like a Prayer, Papa Don’t Preach, and Vogue. Fans can also expect a medley of songs like Survive, La Isla Bonita, and Argentina, as well as a mashup of Billie Jean and Like a Virgin as the grand finale.

Madonna is known for her glamorous and extravagant performances, and her shows often start later than scheduled. The tour’s production team has revealed that three physiotherapists are traveling with the troupe of 24 artists to ensure everyone stays in top shape throughout the tour.

The stage for Madonna’s Montreal concert is the largest she has ever performed on, spanning over 800 square feet. Inspired by the geography of Manhattan, the stage is divided into five sections: Uptown, Downtown, Midtown, East, and West. Additionally, there are 45 wardrobes backstage to store the elaborate costumes and eight humidifiers in Madonna’s dressing room. The equipment required for the show weighs a whopping 80 tons.

For fans looking to attend the concert, ticket prices have dropped significantly on resale websites. Stubhub.com, for instance, was offering tickets for as low as $55, although these seats may have a partially obstructed view. Closer seats near the stage were available for $160 in Section 124, a prime spot to enjoy the show. Ticketmaster, on the other hand, listed a pair of tickets in Section 124 at a price of $702.

Other ticket resale platforms like Billets.ca, My City Rocks, and GameTime also offered attractive deals. The concert was originally scheduled for August 19 but had to be postponed due to a severe infection Madonna battled last summer. After a triumphant recovery, she is ready to give her Montreal fans a night to remember.
