Man Detained in Karnataka for Sharing Edited Photo of Ram Mandir with Pakistani Flag
A man has been detained in the district of Gadag, Karnataka, for sharing a modified image of Ram Mandir, the famous temple in Ayodhya, on social media. The photo depicted Pakistani flags flying atop the temple, with the words ‘Babri Masjid‘ written at the bottom. The post quickly went viral, causing outrage among pro-Hindu activists in Gadag who filed a complaint with the police, urging the arrest of the individual responsible.
Following the complaint, the police took immediate action and apprehended the man identified as Tajuddin Dafedar. The officers made sure the accused deleted the post in question. Babasab Nemagoud, the Superintendent of Police in Gadag, revealed, ‘He is a local resident of Gadag, and we will investigate whether he has any affiliation with any organization. He is currently under custody.’
During the interrogation, Tajuddin claimed that he had stumbled upon the edited photo on Facebook and accidentally shared it. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter to verify his statement and gather additional information.
This incident occurred on the same day when the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, marking the consecration of the idol of Lord Ram at the Ram Mandir, took place in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the rituals and celebrations as thousands of devotees witnessed the historic event.
