Meet the 25 Women Competing for Grant Ellis’ Heart on ‘The Bachelor’ Season 29
ABC has unveiled the 25 women vying for Grant Ellis‘ heart on Season 29 of ‘The Bachelor,’ set to premiere on January 27, 2025. Ellis, a 31-year-old day trader and former professional basketball player from Houston, Texas, was named the newest Bachelor after his elimination on Jenn Tran‘s season of ‘The Bachelorette.’ The diverse group of contestants includes a boxing trainer, a luxury travel host, a venture capitalist, and two pediatric specialists.
Ellis, who has described himself as a ‘mama’s boy,’ expressed his desire to find lasting love in a recent promotional video. ‘I’m looking for love. I want a wife. I’m searching for that happiness,’ he said. ‘To get what you want out of life, you have to take a chance. Love is a choice. Love is hard. But ultimately, the hardest things have the biggest reward.’
This season marks a significant milestone for the franchise, as Ellis becomes only the second Black male lead in its history, following Matt James in 2020. The contestants hail from various backgrounds and professions, including a pediatric speech therapist from Canada, an ICU nurse from Dallas, and a tech engineer and model from New York.
Among the standout contestants are Alexe, a 27-year-old pediatric speech therapist from New Brunswick, Canada; Ella, a 25-year-old luxury travel host from Los Angeles; and Litia, a 31-year-old venture capitalist from Salt Lake City. The season promises drama, romance, and heartfelt moments as Ellis navigates his journey to find a life partner.
‘The Bachelor’ is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon. Claire Freeland, Bennett Graebner, Tim Warner, and Peter Gust serve as executive producers. The show will air on ABC and stream the following day on Hulu.
