Morales and Mafud Appointed Co-Anchors for Telemundo Arizona

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Paola Morales and Ana Mafud have been named co-anchors of Noticiero Telemundo Arizona, effective February 25, 2025. The newscast airs weekdays at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. on KTAZ (Telemundo 39) in Phoenix and KHRR (Telemundo 40) in Tucson.

Morales, who joined Noticiero Telemundo Arizona in 2015 as a reporter, was promoted to anchor in 2016. She has built a strong rapport within the Hispanic community and earned numerous awards, including several Emmys and a Telly Award, for her work in journalism. Alongside her anchoring role, Morales spearheads the segment “Yo Soy Arizona,” which features stories of community leaders and organizations positively impacting the state.

Ana Mafud began her tenure at Noticiero Telemundo Arizona in January 2023, serving as an anchor and video journalist. Prior to her move to Arizona, she reported for Televisa in Monterrey, Mexico, focusing on critical issues such as gender violence, feminist movements, and the challenges faced by migrant families. Mafud holds a degree in communication sciences from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas and has experience in radio broadcasting.

Noticiero Telemundo Arizona broadcasts on KTAZ and KHRR Monday through Friday at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m., with weekend slots at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
