2025 Nba All Star Game Starters Announcement

NEW YORK — The 10 starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be revealed tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET during TNT‘s pregame show, setting the stage for a revamped All-Star format featuring a four-team mini-tournament. The announcement will precede a doubleheader showcasing the Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers.

Fan voting concluded Monday, with starters determined by a weighted formula combining fan votes (50%), player votes (25%), and media votes (25%). The top two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference will earn starting spots, with fan votes serving as the tiebreaker. The All-Star reserves, selected by NBA head coaches, will be announced on Jan. 30.

This year marks a significant change in the All-Star Game format. For the first time, the event will feature a mini-tournament with four teams competing in three games. Teams will be named after TNT analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith, with a fourth team led by WNBA legend Candace Parker, representing the Rising Stars champion. The tournament will award a $1.8 million prize pool, with $125,000 going to each player on the championship team.

Notable players in contention for starting spots include LeBron James, who could extend his record to 21 All-Star starts, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is poised for another selection. Other potential starters include Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The All-Star Draft, where Barkley, O’Neal, and Smith will select their teams, will air live on TNT on Feb. 6. The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco, home of the Golden State Warriors.
