Netflix Renews ‘Nobody Wants This’ for Season 2 with Key Creative Changes
Netflix has announced the renewal of its romantic comedy series, ‘Nobody Wants This,’ for a second season, slated to release in 2025. The show, which stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, garnered significant attention following its successful premiere just two weeks ago.
The first season of ‘Nobody Wants This’ left several key storylines unresolved, particularly the relationship between the characters played by Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. This open-ended finale made the renewal a natural step, as it provides ample opportunity for further development of the characters and their narratives.
One major change for the upcoming season is the addition of new showrunners. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, known for their work on the hit series ‘Girls,’ will take on the roles of executive producers and showrunners for season 2. They will be joined by Nora Silver, President at Jenni Konner Productions, as well as returning executive producers Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Kristen Bell, Steven Levitan, Oly Obst, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton.
Erin Foster, one of the creators of the series, expressed her excitement about the renewal, highlighting the positive viewer reactions and the opportunity to continue the story with the new creative team. Foster drew inspiration from her personal experiences for the series, which has been well-received for its portrayal of healthy relationships.
