Noah Wyle’s ‘Falling Skies’ Returns to Netflix in 2026
LOS ANGELES, CA — Noah Wyle’s sci-fi series ‘Falling Skies’ is making a comeback on Netflix. All five seasons of the show, which originally aired on TNT from 2011 to 2015, will be available for streaming starting January 1, 2026. The announcement comes after the series left HBO Max earlier this month, leaving fans eager for a chance to finish the acclaimed series.
‘Falling Skies’ tells the story of Tom Mason, a former history professor portrayed by Wyle. After an alien invasion decimates much of humanity, Mason becomes the second-in-command of the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. His character uses his knowledge of military history to strategize against a highly intelligent alien force.
Created by Robert Rodat and produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, the show received positive reviews throughout its run, maintaining a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Moon Bloodgood, Drew Roy, and Will Patton.
Wyle’s portrayal of Mason has earned him a dedicated fan base, and his return to a leading role in ‘The Pitt’ has reignited interest in his earlier work. ‘I look forward to reconnecting with fans through ‘Falling Skies’ again,’ he said.
With Netflix adding this beloved series to its catalog, fans can binge-watch all 52 episodes of the post-apocalyptic drama.
