Rochester Ny Weather Forecast

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – After a gloomy and windy Thursday, Rochester is set for a pleasant weekend. The low pressure system that brought rain has moved east, making way for high pressure and sunny skies.

High temperatures on Saturday are expected to reach the high 50s to low 60s, with the lakeshore being cooler by about 5 to 10 degrees. Winds, still present from the previous day, will gust up to 30 mph but are expected to taper off by tonight.

Tonight will be mostly clear and colder, with temperatures dropping to the high 30s and low 40s. A warm front will bring a rise in temperatures on Monday, with highs reaching into the low 70s under mostly sunny skies.

However, warmer air and moisture will set the stage for possible storms later on Tuesday. The potential for severe weather is being monitored, with a heightened risk expected in the afternoon and evening. According to forecasters, there is a good chance these storms could become severe due to atmospheric conditions.

The threat is currently rated as Green on the Threat Tracker, indicating that storm activity is plausible but not yet defined. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
