Snohomish Voters Face Key Local Races in November Election
Snohomish County, WA – Voters in Snohomish County will make crucial decisions in the upcoming November 2025 election. The ballot features numerous local races, including port commissioners, city councils, and mayoral contests, notably in Everett.
On Election Day, initial results will be available shortly after 8 p.m. PT, reflecting early ballots that have been tabulated. Counties will continue to release additional results over the following days as more votes are processed. These additional updates are typically provided daily.
The official certification of election results will take place on November 25, 2025, by the County Canvassing Board.
In the Seattle area, voters will participate in several key races, including the election for King County executive, where incumbent Dow Constantine is not seeking re-election. The primary candidates are King County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay and Council Chair Claudia Balducci. Zahilay received 44.04% of the primary votes.
The mayoral race in Seattle is also drawing attention, featuring incumbent Bruce Harrell against challenger Katie Wilson. Harrell, running as a moderate, emphasizes public safety and economic recovery. Wilson, a progressive activist, won the primary with 50.7% of the vote and advocates for significant changes in housing policy.
Tacoma’s mayoral election pits Councilmembers Anders Ibsen and John Hines against each other to replace outgoing Mayor Victoria Woodards. Ibsen led the primary with 38.5% of the votes.
Other notable local elections include the Seattle city attorney race between incumbent Ann Davison and former federal prosecutor Erika Evans, who leads Davison by 42,000 votes from the primary.
Additionally, SJR 8201 is on the ballot, proposing changes to allow the Washington State Investment Board to invest public funds from the WA Cares Fund in a broader range of assets.
