Social Media Influencer Indicted for Therapist’s Brutal Murder
BATON ROUGE, La. — A grand jury indicted Terryon Thomas, a social media personality known as “Mr. Prada,” on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, for the first-degree murder of Baton Rouge therapist Dr. Nick Abraham. Thomas, 29, faces additional charges of obstruction of justice, aggravated criminal damage to property, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The indictment alleges that Thomas killed Dr. Abraham, 69, in his apartment off Essen Lane in September 2024. Investigators reported finding large amounts of the victim’s blood, sharp objects, and weapons during a search of the apartment. Abraham’s body was discovered wrapped in a tarp and abandoned along a highway in Tangipahoa Parish.
“This was a brutal and calculated crime,” said East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s spokesperson Lt. Sarah Collins. “The evidence points to a deliberate attempt to conceal the murder.”
Thomas fled Baton Rouge after narrowly evading capture by local police. He was later apprehended in Dallas, Texas, and extradited to Louisiana. He is currently being held without bond.
If convicted of first-degree murder, Thomas could face the death penalty. The grand jury’s decision to indict indicates they found sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.
Dr. Abraham, a respected therapist in the Baton Rouge community, was last seen entering Thomas’ apartment on the day of his disappearance. Friends and colleagues described him as a compassionate professional dedicated to helping others.
“Dr. Abraham was a pillar of our community,” said a colleague who asked to remain anonymous. “His loss is devastating.”
Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the killing. The case has drawn widespread attention due to Thomas’ social media presence, where he amassed a following under the alias “Mr. Prada.”
The trial is expected to begin later this year. Prosecutors have indicated they will seek the maximum penalty if Thomas is found guilty.
