Tata Motors Unveils Altroz Racer: A Sporty Evolution of the Premium Hatchback

Tata Motors, the renowned automotive manufacturer, has introduced the Altroz Racer, a sporty edition of the highly-acclaimed Altroz premium hatchback. This new iteration aims to elevate the performance aspect of the Altroz with the inclusion of a powerful 1.2 L Turbo petrol engine.

The Altroz Racer embodies a race car-inspired exterior and interior design with a remarkable power output of 120 Ps @ 5500 rpm and torque of 170 Nm @ 1750 to 4000 rpm. This enhancement promises an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts.

The top-of-the-line Altroz Racer is equipped with a host of features, including a 360-degree camera, a large 26.03 cm infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and a standard provision of six airbags for enhanced safety. The vehicle offers a snappy drive with a six-speed manual gearbox, ensuring seamless performance in both city commutes and highways.

Three distinct variants – R1, R2, and R3 – of the Altroz Racer will be available to consumers, each in three vibrant colors like Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White. Additionally, Tata Motors has expanded the Altroz lineup by introducing two new variants – XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX – and upgrading the XZ+OS variant, offering customers a wider choice across petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG powertrains.

Vivek Srivatsa, the Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed excitement about the launch, stating that the Altroz Racer is engineered to bring excitement to everyday drives. The blend of high-powered performance, advanced features, and a tech-forward approach makes the Racer appealing to the tech-savvy, style-conscious modern consumer.
