Travis Japan Boy Band Live Performance

Tokyo, Japan — The rising boy band Travis Japan continues to broaden its reach both domestically and internationally in 2025, embarking on challenges on a grand scale. The group is currently on the Domestic Travis Concert Tour 2025 VIIsual, promoting its second album, VIIsual, which topped the Hot Albums chart following its release in December. The tour, which kicked off in January, includes stops in eight cities across Japan.

Following the domestic tour, Travis Japan is set to take its performances to Asia and the U.S. during a second global trek this summer. The six members of the band recently spoke to Billboard Japan about the appeal of their new songs “Say I Do” and “Tokyo Crazy Night,” as well as their reflections on their previous world tour.

Noel is currently taking a break for health reasons, leaving the remaining members to share their experiences from the Travis Japan World Tour 2024 Road to A, which took place last fall. “We toured six cities around the world to promote our first album and were able to interact further with our fans outside of Japan,” said Shizu. “I felt like I’d been given a very valuable experience.”

Shime echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the initial nerves before taking the stage. “I was looking forward to it but also a little worried about how it would go. But when we actually got on stage, the audience got really excited,” he said. The group collectively expressed gratitude toward the local fans who taught them some of the languages during their world tour.

Chaka noted the significance of this tour as a long-awaited dream. “We’d been waiting to do a global tour since our debut in October 2022,” he said. “It was a completely new environment for us, but we went on stage with the confidence that our fans had given us.”

The boys also shared their excitement about the new songs. Umi mentioned that “Say I Do” brings a fresh perspective for the group. “It does feel like ‘Say I Do’ is a kind of song we’ve never done before. I was happy we could sing lyrics like that,” he said. Machu added that the straightforward lyrics of the love song are meant to resonate deeply with their fans.

As for “Tokyo Crazy Night,” which serves as the theme song for the drama Tokyo Camouflage Hour starring Machu, he described it as a retro-style city pop that is undeniably cool. “It’s a genre we’ve never tried before, so I think our fans will see a new side of us,” he stated.

The band has their sights set high for their second world tour this year. “This time, we can plan ahead from the rehearsal stage and include things like, ‘Let’s make a section where we sing together with the crowd,’” Machu said. “I want to deliver a lot of thanks again this year too.”

With unique experiences from their previous tour, members like Genta express a desire to share more of their music and performances. “We hope to deliver Travis Japan’s performance to more people, while making use of the experience we gained last year,” he said.

This ambitious yet supportive atmosphere within Travis Japan fosters a strong connection with fans, as expressed by Shizu, who noted the growing family-like bond with their audience. As they prepare for the Travis Japan World Tour 2025 VIIsual, the band is eager to create memorable experiences for both new and returning fans.

Upcoming concert dates for the Travis Japan World Tour 2025 VIIsual include:

  • July 25 – Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, NY
  • July 27 – The Grove of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA
  • Additional Asian city dates to be announced.
