WWE Bad Blood Returns with Intense Rivalries Set to Unfold in Atlanta
The Bad Blood premium live event, returning to WWE after a significant hiatus, is set to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. This event rekindles the intense rivalries that have characterized WWE storylines, including the highly anticipated Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. Their ongoing conflict, which began at the SummerSlam event, is expected to reach a decisive conclusion in the infamous steel structure, reminiscent of the original Bad Blood event that debuted in 1997.
Roman Reigns, returning to in-ring competition for the first time since WrestleMania, will team up with Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, in a tag team match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This match comes after long-standing tensions, as Reigns and Rhodes were once bitter rivals, headlining WrestleMania 39 and 40 against each other. The duo’s current alliance has created a unique dynamic as they face Sikoa’s faction known as The Bloodline.
Another prominent match features Liv Morgan defending her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley. This contest extends their intense rivalry, which began after Morgan’s controversial capture of the title following Ripley’s injury earlier in the year. Adding a unique twist to the match, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage, further heightening the high-stakes atmosphere.
In yet another heated rivalry, Damian Priest faces Finn Balor. Priest has been seeking retribution after being betrayed by his Judgment Day allies, with Balor serving as his primary target. The overarching storyline promises potential outside interference, a hallmark of Judgment Day’s tactics.
The WWE Women’s Championship will also be contested, with Nia Jax defending her title against Bayley. Their rivalry has persisted beyond SummerSlam, leading to Bayley earning another title shot after defeating Naomi in a No. 1 contender’s match on the recent SmackDown episode.
The event is scheduled to air exclusively on Peacock in the United States, streaming live with the main card starting at 8 p.m. ET. A press conference featuring some of the evening’s winners and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque is planned for 8:15 p.m. Central Time, promising further insights into the future of WWE storylines and upcoming events.
